Le Manh Cuong, 28, and his younger brother whose name has not yet been disclosed in Tan Linh Commune published a video about slaughtering two birds identified as crested serpent eagles on their own popular Youtube channel.

According to Bui Van Quan, chairman of Tan Linh Commune People's Committee, the birds are listed in Vietnam’s Red Book and needed to be preserved.

The violators agreed to the fine and pledged not to repeat such actions. They agreed to inform local authorities of rare animals if they found them.

The brothers posted the clip about killing the birds on March 5, which stirred public outrage due to their brutal treatment.

Cuong removed the video following the reaction.

The brothers’ Youtube channel about strange dishes and entertainment attracted a great number of followers.
