McDonald’s seek franchisees in Vietnam

VietNamNet Bridge – Last week, a senior official of McDonald’s went to Vietnam to seek franchisees.

According to a McDonald’s representative, this fast-food brand will come to Vietnam in the next two years, through a franchisee.

The representative said that this brand will firstly appear in HCM City, with two restaurants, and then Hanoi. In the future, the number may reach 100 restaurants, he said.

McDonald will send its experts from major markets to Vietnam to train the Vietnamese team.

It said that one of the matters that this firm will have to solve in Vietnam is the difficulties in seeking and building a standardized network of input material providers.

Besides the coming of Starbuck Coffee and The Johnny Rockets, the appearance of McDonald’s in Vietnam will make changes in the fast-food market, which is now controlled by KFC, Lotteria and BBQ.
