VietNamNet Bridge – A little girl played around with a dog in a lantern shop. Some foreign tourists walked along eating ice cream in the severe sunlight. Peaceful moments in the ancient town of Hoi An were captured ahead of the parade of ancient vehicles.
On June 4, many tourists will gather in Hoi An to admire over 300 old vehicles of all kinds in a special parade. The vehicles will depart from the Palm Garden Resort.
Joining the procession are Miss Vietnam 2006 Mai Phuong Thuy, Miss Vietnam 2008 Tran Thi Thuy Dung, Miss World 2008 Ksenia Sukhinova, Miss World 2006 Tatana Kucharova and many Vietnamese supermodels.
The procession will call on Cau Mong tourist site, the Phuoc Kieu bronze casting village and the Dien Ban food festival. The procession will pass through ancient streets of Hoi An at 4pm.
A performance and presentation on the history of ancient vehicles will be organised at Chua Cau (Bridge Pagoda) and An Hoi bridge.
A music show will take place in the statue garden on the bank of the Hoai River, with a charity auction of old vehicles at 7pm.
