Unwinding with grass-skiing

VietNamNet Bridge – A tropical climate does not offer much opportunity for the experience of sliding on layers of snow. However, grass-skiing can give 'skiers' a sense of what it feels like as they slide down green, grass-covered hills.

Some skiers slide downhill on the new grass surface.
Several amusement parks around the country have now made grass-skiing available in Vietnam. One of them, the Green Club Resort, has recently added two new activities for their guests; grass-skiing and basket racing.

Visitors get on baskets for a row on the lake in the resort.

The grass-skiing slope is four meters high, built in an area of one hectare. It is covered with grass imported from Japan. There are two options for skiing, the surfboard which is priced at VND10,000 for each round and surfing shoes, priced at VND50,000 per hour. Beginners will be accompanied by instructors.

Alternatively, basket rowing provides vacationers an opportunity for a leisurely row on a 2-hectare lake.

The Green Club Resort is located at Phuoc Tan Commune in Long Thanh District in the southern province of Dong Nai. Tel: (0613) 930071, or visit website: www.caulacboxanh.com for more information.

Hereunder are some photos featuring visitors enjoying grass skiing and basket rowing at the club.
