The signing ceremony

VietNamNet
Bridge – The Vietnam Technology Supermarket (Vinatech) and Japan’s Taise and Hohhara group last week signed a VND50 billion contract, under which the Japanese partner will transfer non-timber pulp producing technology to Vietnam.

With a daily capacity of 15-30 tonnes per day, a Japanese non-timber pulp production line can produce pulp from non-timber materials such as tree branches, straw and bagasse.

This technology allows producers to take advantage of available materials in Vietnam and helps protect forests and the environment.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vu Ngoc Bao, Secretary General of the Vietnam Paper Association, said this technology is very appropriate to Vietnam. At present, Vietnam has to import around 60% of pulp.
