VietNamNet Bridge – The brand of the PC Rescue and Network Security 911 of the Five Star Joint Stock Company has been franchised in some provinces of Thai Nguyen, Vung Tau, Binh Duong and Ca Mau.

911 is known as the first professional computer rescue unit in the north. The website of this firm, 911.com.vn, has around 60,000 visitors each days, who access the site to update their knowledge of computers, anti-virus software, data restoration, etc.

The development strategy of 911 is expanding its brand to many provinces in Vietnam and franchising is the way it chooses.

In each province, 911 selects a partner, which is a prestigious IT firm with suitable financial and professional capability for franchising. This partner will be trained in technological aspects and transferred the whole operation process, etc. under 911’s standards. The partner will also be advertised free of charge on 911’s website and supported in term of business and technique during its operation process.

“This form of cooperation benefits both sides while we can strictly control service quality that our partners provide customers,” said Director of 911 in Hanoi Tran Hung Cuong.

According to Mr. Cuong, 911 brand will go to Lang Son, Quang Ngai, Nghe An, etc.

In Vietnam, there are several firms using the model of franchising so far since this model is quite new in Vietnam. In the field of IT, 911 is the first firm using franchising to develop its brand. However, many foreign firms have applied the franchising mechanism in Vietnam, including Aptech, with FPT Aptech, Hanoi Aptech, etc.

“Franchising in IT like what 911 does is an innovative and positive method in IT operations of Vietnam,” said Nguyen Quang A, former Chairman of the Vietnam Information Processing Association.

“Both businesses and consumers benefit from this model. I believe that this model will be applied more widely in Vietnam in the future,” he added.
