VietNamNet Bridge – Around 600 government officials, experts and business executives yesterday started gathering in Hanoi for a two-day conference to look into issues revolving around e-government.
Going with the theme of E-Government - the bridge for government, business and citizens," the 4th e-Government Symposium is organized by the Hanoi Department of Post and Telematics and International Data Group (IDG).
The goal of the event is to create better public services, and bring benefits to businesses and citizens by way of building an e-government model to improve management capacity.
Participants will hear reports on the future digitalization of the National Assembly, the e-government scheme in Vietnam and e-government building as part of public administrative reform.
Experts from the United Nations Development Program and the Work Bank will speak on WB's administrative reform project and IT models for successful e-government implementation.
The event also aims to review e-government implementation in Vietnam, seek measures to boost the development of e-government to improve the management and administration capacity of the government for better and more efficient public services for the benefit of businesses and citizens.
Reports and speeches on e-government building and experience in other countries will be delivered at the event as well.
Domestic and foreign solutions companies will present issues relating to the application of e-government in the public administrative reform process.
An exhibition of products and software solutions for e-government will also be held alongside with the symposium for domestic and international product and service suppliers such as SAP, APC, Lenovo, Microsoft, Alcatel, Fortinet, FPT Telecom, FSS, Misoft, MK, Oracle, M.tech, Qualcomm, DTT Hanoi and Blue Coat.
The expo is expected to attract 1,500 visitors.
