VNPT slashes mobile charges by nearly 30%

VietNamNet – The Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) will cut charges on its two mobile phone networks, VinaPhone and MobiFone, as of June 1, 2006.

 

Under the decision, the new charges for account subscribers will be VND1,500/minute (including VAT), with charges calculated on the 6 + 1 second block schedule.

 

For pre-paid subscribers, new charges will be VND2,500 per minute, down VND100/minute compared to the current rates.

 

Daily subscription charges will be VND1,545/day, with initialising fees of VND136,136 and monthly subscription fees of VND60,000.

 

VNPT also offers six options for mobile account holders, with charges ranging from VND405,810 to VND702,964 per month.
