VietNamNet Bridge – According to the drawing results in Vientiane (Laos) this morning, November 9, Vietnam will be in the same table with Thailand.

Group A: Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, East Timor and Cambodia

Group B: Laos, Myanmar, Singapore and Indonesia.

In previous SEA Games, Vietnam didn’t play well and ranked the fourth. The current champion, Thailand, and the runner-up, Myanmar, are the top two seeds in the upcoming SEA Games.

Experts said that Thailand and Vietnam are the strongest teams in group A while in group B, Singapore, Indonesia and Myanmar are at the same level.

Meanwhile, the five women’s football teams must play in a round robin. The two teams with the highest points will then confront against each other in the final match. The five teams are Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos.

The men’s football tournament will start on December 3 and close on December 17 while the dates of December 5 and 14 are reserved for the women’s football event.

Men’s football matches will take place at two stadiums in Vientiane: Chao Anou Vong (18,000 seats) and National Sports Complex (20,000 seats). Women’s matches will be held at the Chao Anou Vong Stadium and the Laos National University Stadium.
