Girls win at Asian qualifying round

VietNamNet Bridge – The national under-19 female team defeated Singapore 12-0 in their first match of the Asian Women’s U19 Football Championship’s qualifying round held in Malaysia.

The Vietnamese team scored two goals in the first 10 minutes. It became even easier for Vietnam when a Singaporean player was sent off from the game in the 15th minute.

 

A stronger team with one player more than their opponents, in the remaining 75 minutes to take the top spot in group A.

 

In previous group matches, Myanmar trounced the Philippines 11-0 and South Korea beat Jordan 8-0.

 

Vietnam will next face Myanmar today.

 

Group B comprised of teams from Chinese Taipei, Australia, India and Iran, played yesterday.

The competition kicked off on Tuesday and will conclude on November 6.
