Truong Son, Tran Chau have good start at world junior chess contest

VietNamNet Bridge - Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son and Le Hoang Tran Chau gained a good start at the world junior chess contest in Batumi, Georgia.

Truong Son, who competed in the age group of 16, gained a total of 2.5 points after three games.  He is now just 0.5 points behind the group’s leaders and next plays Tologontegin Semetey from Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile, Tran Chau gained a total of 2.5 points after two victories over Dincok Gozde from Turkmenistan and Devangi Patankar from India and a draw with Rizhamadze Ptaman from Georgia.

She next plays Yu Hualin from China.

Another Vietnamese player Nguyen Thi Mai Hung gained a total of two points with two victories and a defeat.
