VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam won two gold and one silver medal in the taolu (performance) event at the World Traditional Martial Arts Festival in China last weekend.

Nguyen Mai Phuong won the first gold in the women's daoshu (blade knife play), while her teammate Nguyen Thanh Tung, bagged gold in the men's tajiquan (ultimate fist).
In the gunshu (rod play) event, Pham Anh Dung took a silver medal.
At the previous festival two years ago, former national member Nguyen Phuong Lan had also won a gold medal for Vietnam.
After the festival, the national team members will continue their training session in China in preparation for the Asian Games (ASIAD) in Qutar this December.
Vietnam will send an eight-member squad to compete at the ASIAD on December 1-15.
According to National Olympic Committee's vice chairman and general secretary, Hoang Vinh Giang Vietnamese artists could bring a number of different medals home this year from the Qutar ASIAD.
At the previous ASIAD in Busan in 2002, sisters Nguyen Ngoc Oanh and Nguyen Thi My Duc bagged a silver and a bronze medal in tao lu, respectively.
Last December, Vietnam placed second in the World Wushu Championships, which the country hosted for the first time ever in Hanoi.
