Tuan Anh marks fourth stage victory

Domesco Dong Thap cyclist, Do Tuan Anh, won the 15th stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Tour yesterday in two hours 29 minutes and 25 seconds.

Tuan Anh, who won the 14th stage on Tuesday, took the 104km race from Nha Trang City to Phan Rang City to make his fourth win of the race.

Although finishing in the second group, Le Nguyen Thanh Nhan of the An Giang Plant Protection team sustained the yellow jersey after 15 stages with an accumulated time of 47:17.51.

He was followed by Trinh Sang Dong of the Domesco Dong Thap and Sai Gon Agriculture-Parkse's Luu Quoc Quang.

In the overall team rankings, Sai Gon Agriculture-Parkse team failed to overthrow the Sai Gon Dofilm in the leading position after yesterday's stage.

With a total time of 141:40.37, the Sai Gon Dofilm team lead the race, seven minutes faster than Sai Gon Parkse. Domesco Dong Thap came in third.

From the start, Sai Gon Dofilm, Sai Gon Parkse, Can Tho and Ben Tre Post Office riders broke away from the crowd, cruising an average of 41kph, while An Giang Plant Protection's riders trailed to defend their yellow jersey holder, Le Nguyen Thanh Nhan.

At 10km from the finish, trio Nguyen Nam Cuc of Sai Gon Dofilm, Lam Cong Danh from An Giang Plant Protection and Bui Minh Thuy of Vinh Long cut off from the pack, only to be overtaken by a group of riders from Domesco Dong Thap in the last three kilometres.

Tuan Anh finished first for a green jersey along with his teammate, Trinh Sang Dong, in second place. They also helped the Domesco Dong Thap place first in that stage.

An Giang Plant Protection's Tran Tu Duong came third, but his team finished second, ahead of Sai Gon Dofilm team.

The 16th stage of the race begins today and will trace 121km from Phan Rang to Da Lat City.
