VietNamNet – The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Li Ning Sports Equipment signed a deal on April 12 where the Chinese company would sponsor uniforms for the men’s and women’s football squads.

Under the contract, Li Ning will become the official and exclusive sponsor of sports equipment for the two squads for 2006-08.

At the upcoming VTV – T&T Cup, the men’s national squad will wear the first Li Ning uniforms. Niu Jian Guo, Li Ning’s International Market Director, said that the company would provide players with sufficient uniforms to change into guest colours after each match.

At previous international tournaments, Vietnamese players were often embarrassed because they had only one uniform, while guest players often had home and away colours.
