Vietnam Airlines has pledged air tickets worth of US$63,000 in support of the male national football squad and the U-23 Olympic team.

 

Under a three-year contract announced on May 14, the national flag carrier will sponsor air fares for these teams and officials of the Vietnam Football Federation for local and overseas training trips.

 

In return, Vietnam Airlines will be recognized as the official transport sponsor of the national football team. In addition, its logo will be printed on the jerseys, balls and other kit of the footballers when training but not at official matches.

 

The Vietnam Football Federation is still seeking an official sponsor for the national football squad, VFF officials told reporters at a press briefing.
