Online auction of celebrities’ belongings for charity

VietNamNet Bridge – Belongings of Vietnamese and international stars will be auctioned at www.chodientu.vn to raise funds for Operation Smile’s “For Kids’ Smiles” programme.

 

 

Auction items include a jersey signed by Brazilian football star Ronaldinho, two signed hats and an album from American singer Jessica Simpson and Jackie Chan’s bag and three books with his signatures.

 

Vietnamese singer My Tam’s gift is a collection of her albums and her perfume product named Mytime.

 

Supermodel Nguyen Vu Ha Anh contributes a photo book about her career while actor Luong Manh Hai presents a DVD of a movie in which he played the leading road, with his signature.

 

Nearly 200 companies and people have contributed around 1,000 products for the auction.

 

The auction will take place between now and November 16 at www.chodientu.vn/dau-gia-tu-thien-cung-sao.html.

 

“We hope that businesses and benefactors will join PeaceSoft and Operation Smile Vietnam to bring bright smiles to children with face deformities. Together, we will make wonderful changes,” said Nguyen Viet Phuong, Operation Smile’s director in Asia-Pacific.

 

Vietnam has around 3,000 children with born with face deformations every year. Most of them were born to poor families while plastic surgery costs as little as $100-200.
