Nokia’s lawyer, Corrine Tan have talks with representatives from RIAV over the evidences that RIAV have given out in a press conference on Monday.

FPT Telecome sent on Saturday an excuse for its mistake to RIAV for sharing recorded music to Nokia Vietnam that previously FPT Telecom insisted in the right to license a third party to use its song database, an official from RIAV said on VietNamNet.

FPT Telecom said they had signed contracts with several music production firms, including VietTan, Saigon Vafaco, Lac Hong, and Trung Duong.

However, FPT Telecom is using songs from 15 other music production firms that it has not yet signed contracts with, said RIAV.

According to RIAV, Damian Yeo will be expected to have talks in coming days with Nokia Vietnam and FPT Telecom over the allegations.

The Nokia’s director in the Southeast Asia Pacific said he will make out Nokia’s settlement on the dispute on next Tuesday, November 03. Moreover, he expressed that the settlement will be going to the way that no legal proceedings would be taken.

Earlier, RIAV’s deputy chairwoman, Truong Thi Thuy Dung said the door to negotiations remained open with Nokia Vietnam and FPT Telecom after RIAV has threatened to initiate lawsuits against Nokia Vietnam and FPT Telecom.
