Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh returns to Vietnam for UN Day of Vesak

VietNamNet Bridge – Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and his delegation from Mai (Plum) village, France, has come to Vietnam for the grand celebrations of the UN Day of Vesak scheduled to be held in Hanoi from May 13-17.

The Zen Master and his delegation plan to hold in Hanoi some talks on Buddhism and open a seven-day meditation course for foreigners in Hanoi before attending the UN Day of Vesak celebrations.

Upon arriving at the international airport in Ho Chi Minh City on April 27, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh left for Bat Nha monastery in Bao Loc, Central Highlands Lam Dong province to give lectures.

During the celebrations of the UN Day of Vesak, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh will organise meditations courses in the capital city, and visit Ha Long Bay and Huong Pagoda.

After the grand celebrations, the Zen Master and his delegation will visit central provinces and Ho Chi Minh City to give lectures.

The delegation plans to leave Vietnam for France in late June.
