Vietnam’s 9th Youth National Congress to open on December 18

VietNamNet Bridge - The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has announced that its 9th National Congress for the 2007-2012 term will be held in Hanoi from December 17-21.


Delegates will review the results of implementing the 8th Youth National Congress's Resolution, amend the Youth Union's Rules and elect the new 9th Youth Union Central Committee to the next five years.

As many as 1,000 national and foreign delegates are expected to attend the event.

The opening ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television on December 18.
