08:57' 18/07/2007 (GMT+7)

VietNamNet Bridge – After submitting his resignation three times, Mr. Le Nhat Tan, Deputy Director of the city’s Department of Tourism, was finally allowed by the HCM City People’s Committee to quit his job on July 13.

Le Nhat Tan, former Chairman of the People’s Committee of District 12, HCM City, was appointed as the Deputy Director of the HCM City Department of Tourism in April 2001. He has a Master of Business Administration. He studied in Singapore and Australia.

He had three times submitted his request for resignation to HCM City leaders (the first time was in October 2006) for the same reason: the working environment is unsuitable and he wants to focus on his doctorate thesis on tourism.

This is the third time this year HCM City has approved the resignations of some officials. The two others are Luong Van Ly, Deputy Director of the local Department of Planning and Investment, and Le Van Cong, Deputy Director of the Trade Department.
