The hair of B.V.H., a 9-grade schoolgirl at H.V.T. school in Nam Dinh city, suddenly caught fire at 3 pm in the afternoon on January 8 while H. was in class. Though the fire lasted 10 seconds only, the phenomenon caused a ruckus in the school.

Her hair caught fire again at 4:50 pm the same day for 5 seconds when H. was at home. H.’s sister witnessed the incident.

At 9 pm on the same day, H. said that she had a headache. She said that she felt something burning in her head. H. was taken to Nam Dinh Hospital.

The doctors at the hospital were very surprised when hearing about the hair burning. They took H.’s blood pressure and checked her temperature (H. did not have fever) and gave H. sleeping pills. However, H. could not sleep due to the headache.

H.’s hair caught fire for the third time in the morning on January 9 in the hospital. H.’s father, who was outside his daughter’s room, saw his daughter’s hair burning.

H. is in hospital and under the supervision of doctors there.
