Vietnamese delegation to take part in Youth Ship Programme

VietNamNet Bridge - A 29-member youth delegation will leave Hanoi on Oct. 30 to join the Southeast Asian Youth Ship Programme 2006.

The programme aims to promote friendship and mutual understanding between young people of Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. The Vietnamese youth will be introduced to cultural quintessence, scientific and technical advances of regional countries and Japan and also has opportunity to introduce to international friends about Vietnamese scenic landscapes and people as well as Vietnam's major youth movements.

The programme gathers youth delegates on board a ship, which will visits selected nations on its SEA tour.
This year's programme , which will start in Japan on Oct. 23 and run through Dec. 4, will tour Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines.

The main topic of this year's programme is Youth's Participation in Social Activities and its sub-topics are environment, information, cultural exchange, international relations, education, traditional culture, volunteer activities and youth development activities.
