Police propose suspending official in PMU 18 case

VietNamNet  - Police have proposed the Central Party Committee and Prime Minister Phan Van Khai to suspend Deputy Transport Minister Nguyen Viet Tien while he is under investigation for involvement in the PMU 18 scandal.

 

Chief accountant for PMU 18, Luu Viet Khoa, was also summoned yesterday, March 28, and head of the PID3 Department of PMU 18, Vu Anh, was questioned yesterday about a project to upgrade the Doan Hung – Thanh Thuy section of National Highway  No 2.

 

In related news, Ton Anh Dung emailed police and newspapers that he will return to Vietnam today, March 29.

 

On March 28, police searched Ton Anh Dung’s house and office in Hue and seized some documents believed to be related to PMU 18.
