Overseas Vietnamese arrivals in HCM City increase 82%

VietNamNet - More than 52,000 overseas Vietnamese returned home through the Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City in February, an 82 percent year-on-year increase.

 

The city welcomed more than 428,000 foreign visitors in the first two months of this year, including nearly 189,000 arrivals in February.

 

Most visitors to the city in February were from the US, Taiwan, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, China, Canada, France, Singapore and Britain.

 

According to the HCM City Tourism Service, about 44,450 people in the city and other provinces and cities went abroad through the Tan Son Nhat border gate in February. They traveled on business, for tourism purposes and to visit relatives in foreign countries, including Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
