Ly said she and her mother met with a representative of the film crew on July 21 in the evening but her contract has still not been dissolved yet. Feature Film Studio No.1 is changing some articles in the liquidation minutes.

According to Ly, it is not true as the film crew said that the two sides decided to end the contract because Ly couldn’t commit to the film crew’s schedule. “Time was not a big point of contention between us. I was willing to postpone one year of study in the US to return to Vietnam to act in this movie,” Ly said.

“It means that I considered this project a top priority. Royal Chancellor Tran Thu Do is a big movie that any actress would want to be involved in. It is a wonderful thing for a 20-year-old girl like me to be invited to play a key role in this project. Not only me, but my family also thinks highly of this role. I would like to affirm that I have worked seriously.”

The beauty queen was displeased when she heard that a member of the film crew said that she didn’t act well. She affirmed that she fulfilled her role well.

She said she was pulling out of this project because the two sides disagreed with each other about artistic viewpoints. “I and my mother cried for the loss of our enthusiasm and efforts. I don’t blame anyone for this. My feelings for this movie are unchanged and I don’t want my withdrawal to raises difficulties for the film crew,” Ly said.

Currently Ly cannot return to the US to continue her studies because of visa difficulties. Moreover, the deadline for registering for school closed one month ago. Ly plans to resume her studies in January.

As “Royal Chancellor Tran Thu Do” is a key cultural product to celebrate the 1000^th Thang Long – Hanoi anniversary and the biggest film product so far, the public is very interested in Thien Ly’s case.

Ly said that she pulled out of this project to avoid acting in sexy scenes; meanwhile other members of the film crew say that there is no sexy scene in this historical film.

Tran Thi Dung has become an icon in the history of Vietnam so filmmakers have to portray this character in a reverential way.

About hot scenes in this movie, I’m the one who has to take part in the hottest scenes. I play the role of Dam Queen, who was not Queen, who was not cherished by her husband, and who sought every way to lure her husband or the king. In this movie, there is a scene in which I come out of a bathtub in an old-style bra and then two imperial maids put a robe on me, and this is the hottest scene in the movie. But actually, viewers can see only my two naked arms.

The film has just been underway for one month so Thien Ly’s scenes are not many. Most of her scenes are with me. In the movie, I and Ly are husband and wife so there are some scenes on the bed. However, these scenes are very nice and romantic. She wore an ancient-style bra, which shows only her back, but from very far. In that scene she stood to comb her hair but two imperial maids immediately put on a robe on her.

Royal Chancellor Tran Thu Do is not a commercial movie so it doesn’t need sexy scenes. This is not a movie for adults only so it cannot have sexy scenes. Moreover, the movie is based on the script by Nguyen Manh Tuan, which won third prize in a script writing contest about the 1000^th Thang Long – Hanoi anniversary, and was edited three times before filming.

It is not true when Thien Ly said that she stopped playing in this movie because of sexy scenes. Her statement hurt 120 actors in the film and especially director Dao Duy Phuc.

Phuc and Tat Binh are now in China to prepare for some scenes in China in early August so it is also not true that they turned off their hand phones to avoid the media.

In this movie, I and Thien Ly play two leading roles, Tran Thu Do and Tran Thi Dung. We are lovers in misery. There are some scenes in which we are familiar, but I affirm that the film doesn’t have sensitive scenes between Tran Thi Dung and Tran Thu Do. This is a historical movie so it is impossible for it to have sexy scenes.
