Seeing off the Danish royal family, State President Nguyen Minh Triet expressed his belief that their visit will further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The Queen and Prince Consort Henrik said they are pleased to visit various places along the coastline of Vietnam, including the central city of Hue and Ho Chi Minh City in the south. They will also visit the central highland province of Lam Dong.

The Danish Queen took this opportunity to extend her condolences to the flood victims in the central and central highland provinces of Vietnam, who have suffered great losses of human lives and property caused by storm Mirinae.

Earlier the same day, the Royal couple visited the Mascot International Vietnam Ltd. Company in the northern province of Hai Duong and met with provincial authorities. The Denmark-invested company has a registered capital of US$10 million.

The Embassy of Denmark and the Hanoi Planning and Architecture Department held an urban planning workshop with Danish architect Jang Gehl on the same day as part of the activities to welcome the Queen’s visit.
