According to Dan, this list would be submitted to the NA for approval. The four selected cabinet members are the ones who received the highest numbers of questions from NA deputies or their fields are in areas of public concern. Each will answer NA deputies’ questions for half a day.
The central bank’s chief Nguyen Van Giau will face questions about the effectiveness of the first stimulus package, the monetary and the foreign exchange policies and, in particular, the escalation of gold prices in recent days.
Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang will be questioned about export activities in 2009, the rice purchasing and exporting policy, the plan and implementation of hydro-power projects in the central region.
Home Affairs Minister Tran Van Tuan will have to answer questions about personnel policy and how to ensure government employees’ living standards when prices are rising. Meanwhile, press management will be the major content in the question and answer session with Minister of Information and Communications Le Doan Hop.
“Besides these four cabinet members, the Prime Minister and the NA agreed to invite ministers who are not NA deputies to the question and answer sessions to answer questions related to their fields,” Dan said.
