Food hygiene control will be tightened.

VietNamNet Bridge – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung has asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to prepare to cut back economic stimulation measures.

The order was among a whole raft of instructions to ministries across large sectors of Government.

He also told the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work with partners to control food quarantine in the market.  Ministries were requested to urgently issue a list and criteria for products that may potentially endanger people’s health so imports could be controlled.

In addition, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) was asked to control loans for imports and purchasing unessential goods and ensure they remain at a “reasonable” level.

Elsewhere, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will combine with related agencies to take technical measures to control the import of unessential goods and goods that can harm the environment and consumer health, especially children.

The Deputy PM also asked related agencies to tighten control of smuggled goods, faked goods and goods without clear origins.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade was told to report to the government its plan to increase tariffs and remove some economy stimulation measures in the next cabinet meeting, which will take place in early November.
