Statue of President Ho inaugurated in Mexico

VietNamNet Bridge - Statue of President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam Park in Mexico City were inaugurated on January 17.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Pham Van Que stated that the park with the statue of President Ho Chi Minh demonstrates closer solidarity and friendship between the two countries, particularly the two capital cities.

He hoped that bilateral cooperation will be expanded in economy and culture.

Mexico City ’s Governor Marcelo Ebrard said that victories of the Vietnamese people in the past not only helped change Vietnam , but also the situation of the mankind. Like Vietnam , Mexico gained victories in struggles against French and US invaders.

He stated that the image of the Vietnamese preeminent leader Ho Chi Minh has reached out to Mexican people.
