VietNamNet Bridge – Concluding a four-day visit to Russia, President Nguyen Minh Triet and his entourage left St. Petersburg on Oct. 29 to fly to Mongolia for a two-day official visit at the invitation of his Mongolian counterpart Nambaryn Enhkbayar.

Earlier, the President met with the St. Petersburg governor V. Matvyenko and talked with lecturers and students at the St. Petersburg University.

Witnessing the signing of a cooperation agreement between the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and the Binh Duong University, President Triet said education and training was one of topics he discussed during his talks with President D. Medvedev earlier in the week.

He hoped that the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University would cooperate effectively with the Binh Duong University, expand its links with other schools in the country and open branches of the university in Vietnam.

During his stay in the historic city, President Triet visited the Hermitage Museum and the Ekaterina Palace in Pushkin City, 30km from St. Petersburg.

Earlier, the President gave interviews to ITAR-TASS news agency and the Russian Sevodnia (Russia Today) magazine.
