The Mexico-Vietnam Cooperation and Friendship Institute has agreed to enhance cooperation in socio-economic, trade and cultural fields between the two countries.
During a meeting in Mexico City on April 27, the institute executive board stressed the need to set up regular contact with the Vietnamese people to enhance understanding on the tradition and culture of both peoples.
The meeting agreed to keep regularly information on Vietnam’s renewal process and to develop identified potential areas of bilateral cooperation and investment.
On the occasion, the institute opened a photo exhibition and held a roundtable workshop on Vietnam.
The Embassy of South Africa in Vietnam on April 28 held a reception to mark their 14th National Day (April 27).
South African Charge d’ Affaires Sushila Singh expressed her thanks for support from international friends and Vietnam in the struggle for national liberation of South Africa .
Addressing the function, Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the Vietnamese people were happy to witness great achievements of the South African people during their national construction and development, which made the country a locomotive for economic development of the continent.
Basadi Women of Jazz from South Africa and the Hoa Sen (Lotus) Quartet of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra took part in the celebration.
