VietNamNet Bridge - John Stuttard, Lord Mayor of the City of London, said that during his upcoming visit to Vietnam slated for May 3-5, his delegation and Vietnamese authorities will discuss issues relating to the development and management of the capital and stock markets, as well as cooperation in education and training.

Stuttard told a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in London on Apr. 14 that Vietnam’s financial and stock markets have shown positive signs of strong development but required appropriate regulating methods.

He believed that Vietnam holds great potential for further economic development thanks to an abundant labour workforce and an industrious and dynamic population.

Besides Vietnam, the Lord Mayor and a number of British entrepreneurs will also visit China and Malaysia where London planned to establish bilateral relations with their major cities.

The visits are geared to boosting trade ties between London and the targeted localities, Stuttard said.

Following London’s successful Going Global events, the London official will organise seminars with similar themes in Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).
