VietNamNet Bridge - The upcoming National Assembly (NA) session will open on March 20 and will last 15 days.

Chairman of the NA Office Bui Ngoc Thanh submitted Wednesday to the NA Standing Committee the report on preparations for the upcoming session.

NA deputies have suggested to have three days for question and answer. They have also proposed the NA Standing Committee to ask related agencies to answer voters’ questions before March 17.

NA deputies will spend at least one day to discuss the results of the implementation of the state budget plan 2006 and the implementation of budget estimations for 2007.

Schedule: Monday (19/3): Preparatory session; Tuesday (20/3): 11th NA session to open; Friday (6/4): 11th NA session to close

Deputies have also requested the government to report the situation of key national projects such as the Son La hydropower plant, the Ho Chi Minh Highway, the Ca Mau gas-power-fertiliser complex, and the Dung Quat Oil Refinery.

Thus, the session will last 15 days, with six days for reviewing the work of related agencies, four days for legislative tasks, and several days for discussing specialized topics.
