Vietnam, Thailand look to judicial co-operation

Vietnam and Thailand will strengthen the exchange of information, experience and training of judicial officers, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An said during a meeting yesterday with the President of the Supreme Court of Thailand.

Mr An congratulated Justice Atthaniti Disatha-Amnarj and the Supreme Court delegation in Hanoi, saying he was happy to witness friendly co-operation in many fields between the two countries, including judicial work.

He talked about the close relationship between the two countries' parliaments and told the Thai delegation about Vietnam's achievements in reforming its judicial system.

Mr Atthaniti thanked Mr An for meeting with him, expressing his admiration for Vietnam's development in many areas.

He promised to do his best to expand relations between the two countries' court systems as well as between their parliaments, governments and people.
