ASEAN to have an online newspaper

The demo version of AsiaNews.Net presented by e-ABC Chairman at the meeting between e-ABC and TELMIN5 this afternoon.

VietNamNet – ASEAN Telecommunications and IT Ministers highly support the establishment of an online newspaper for ASEAN, named AsiaNews.Net. 

The establishment of AsiaNews.Net online newspaper was this afternoon proposed to ASEAN Telecommunications and IT Ministers, by e-ABC new Chairman Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of VASC Software and Media at a meeting between the e-ABC and ASEAN Telecommunications and IT Ministers held in Hanoi.

The chairman also showed the demo version of AsiaNews.Net online newspaper to ASEAN ministers and answered their's questions related to this initiative during this meeting.

According to Mr Tuan, AsiaNews.Net will act as a bridge connecting individuals, businesses, and governments of ASEAN countries. Based on a partnership between online newspapers of ASEAN countries, communication organisations, and the international business and academic community, the establishment of such a newspaper aims to realize the concept of 'e-ASEAN', under the spirit of the fifth ASEAN Telecommunications and IT Ministers Meeting (TELMIN 5).

ASEAN Telecommunications and IT Ministers highly supported the initiative and hoped that this online newspaper will really be a bridge between the community of ICT businesses with ASEAN Governments, ASEAN countries and people.

With the support of ASEAN Telecommunications and IT Ministers, AsiaNews.Net will be soon come to the world and it will not only be a bridge to connect people, business and governments of ASEAN countries but also gain prestige as a gateway of ASEAN to the world, confirmed e-ABC Chairman.
