VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has decided to invest VND31 billion (around US$1.73 million) in eight new satellite database centres that preserve information on intangible cultural heritages of ethnic groups in the country.

The newly-approved project will be conducted by the Vietnam Institute of Culture and Arts.

The new database stations will be located at the provincial museums of Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Kon Tum, Lam Dong, Can Tho; the Cham museum in Da Nang city and the Nguyen Du relic site in Ha Tinh province.

As part of the project, additional equipment will be provided to the current three stations, including the Tourism Information Promotion Centre in Quang Nam province, the Bai Chay tourist site in Quang Ninh province and the provincial museum of Dong Nai.
