VietNamNet Bridge – With 222 diamonds and 100 red rubies worth 2 billion dong, equivalent to US$117,000, the most expensive bridal gown in Vietnam, named “Bach ngoc xiem y” (gown with hundreds of gemstones), was introduced at the Ruby Plaza trading centre in Hanoi on June 28.

Presenting the certificate of record to Doji group’s representative.

This unique gown is an artwork by young fashion designer Huy Vo, who presented a bridal gown made of orchids at the Dep Fashion Show 7, and goldsmiths from the Doji jewelry group.

The gown is made of white silk and satin, decorated with a big gemstone-made flower. This flower consists of 22 big rubies and eight big diamonds. The pistil is a huge water drop-shaped ruby, symbolising love.

The special gown was made in 40 days, totalling 320 hours, including 56 hours for idea and production, 240 hours for choosing and processing gemstones, and 24 hours for attaching gemstones to the gown.

The gown was presented a certificate for being the most expensive bridal gown in Vietnam from the Vietnam Record Book Centre on the day of introduction.

The gown will be modelled by first runner-up in Miss Vietnam 2008 Thuy Van on June 30. After that, it will be displayed at the 3rd floor of Ruby Plaza.
