Two Misses World do charity in Can Tho

VietNamNet Bridge – Miss World 2004 from Peru could not come to Vietnam so Miss World 2006 Tatana Kucharova from the Czech Republic has become the travelling companion of Miss World 2008 Ksenia Sukhinova in the “Charity Footprints” programme in Vietnam.

 

The two beauty queens appeared at a music show called “Compassionate Arms” at Can Tho Stadium on June 2 to raise funds for buying health insurance for the disadvantaged in 13 provinces of the Mekong Delta. The show raised more than 22 billion dong, equivalent to US$1.22 million.

 

Speaking at the show, Sukhinova said she was happy to be able to return to Can Tho and very moved at the local people’s friendliness.

 

“Charity Footprints” will go to Quang Nam, Da Nang, Hue, Quang Tri and Khanh Hoa provinces in the central region.
