Hau Giang TV broadcaster wins Miss Charming TV 2009

VietNamNet Bridge - A 23-year old broadcaster, Nguyen Thi Chuc Anh, from Hau Giang TV, Hau Giang province, has won the title ‘Miss Charming TV 2009’. She was amongst 15 contestants from 13 TV stations nationwide January 2.

First prize - Nguyen Thi Chuc Anh

Second prize – Huynh Thi Phuong Thao

Third prize – Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung

The final night of the annual talent competition for female TV employees required contestants to compete in four categories: ASEAN costume show, a traditional dance while wearing Ao Dai, a talk show and a Q&A session.
 
Only the top five contestants made it through to the question-and-answer session with science professor Dr. Tran Ngoc Them and Meritorious Artist Kim Xuan.
 
The top five: Nguyen Thi Chuc Anh and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung from Kien Giang TV , Le Thuy An Vietnam Multimedia Corporation, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao HCMC TV, and Nguyen Thi Hang Nghe An TV.
 

In descending order, the final result of the top three: Nguyen Thi Chuc Anh, Huynh Thi Phuong Thao and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung. They won VND20 million ($1,170), VND15 million ($878) and VND10 million ($585) respectively.
 
The competition also gave out six consolation prizes, worth VND6 million ($350) each.

Thai Nguyen TV.

Most likeable: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung

The audience was also entertained by various performers: Ho Ngoc Ha, Ho Quynh Huong, and Nathan Lee, and international singers Edo Vilado and Mima Tantina from Indonesia, Putri Norizah from Brunei, and Lee Ye Rang and Lee Sa Rang from South Korea.
 
All 15 contestants will also perform in the National TV Festival 2009 in Nha Trang January 6.
 
The ‘Charming TV Employee’ has been held annually by Ho Chi Minh city TV Station, and the Cat Tien Sa Media and Television Company since 2007. This year’s competition was sponsored by Vinasoy.
