In 2003, the girl won a consolation prize in a painting contest supported by the Southeast Asian Sports Games for the Disabled (Paragames 2003) and the third prize in a painting contest to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Da Nang’s Liberation in 2005.

Over 30 paintings by the disabled girl are now on display at the exhibition, which tells viewers about Thuy’s life.
