Tran Hau Tuan and 180-painting collection

The room exhibiting paintings and belongings of painter Bui Xuan Phai in the house of collector Tran Hau Tuan.

VietNamNet Bridge – Painting collector Tran Hau Tuan has published a book introducing artworks by well-known painter Nguyen Gia Tri and the famous foursome of painters, Nguyen Tu Nghiem, Duong Bich Lien, Nguyen Sang, and Bui Xuan Phai.

 

The book, entitled “Contemporary Paintings of Vietnam”, is a collection of 177 paintings by the five well-known artists of Vietnam.

 

Tran Hau Tuan’s collection of paintings is the largest and the most valuable in the country. His four-storey house is like a small museum.

 

Tuan has invested in 16 books on Vietnamese arts and painters and his 17th book, “Contemporary Paintings of Vietnam”, was published with the assistance of a publishing house, in 1,000 copies.

 

With simple words, Tuan comments about each painter and their artworks in the book, which can help art lovers understand more about paintings by the five famous artists.
