Vietnamese photographer honoured at Hong Kong Int’l photo contest

VietNamNet Bridge - Vietnamese photographers have won great prizes at a photo contest held by the Photographic Society of Hong Kong (PSHK). A set of photos by Duong Quoc Dinh was presented the Cup for black-and-white photos.

Gone with the Wind

This is an annual contest for international photographers under the sponsorship of the Photographic Society of America and the International Federation of Art Photography (FIAP). Prizes are presented for three types of photos: colour, black-and-white and film slide.

In the black-and-white category, Vietnamese photographer Duong Quoc Dinh won the highest cup for set of photos, the Golden Cup of PSHK for Afternoon Dream photo, PSHK’s bronze cup for Bath!, and FIAP’s bronze medal for Word of wind 2.

Another Vietnamese artist, Nguyen A, took the PSA’s gold medal for Funning while Long Thanh won the gold medal of FIAP for Sulkiness.

Duong Quoc Dinh also took a gold medal of FIAP for a colour photo named Gone with the wind.

Dinh sent eight photos to the contest. Apart from his award winning photos, other of his photos were displayed at the contest’s exhibition.
