The way to the Vietnam Drama Theatre

VietNamNet
Bridge – A farce has been running in Hanoi for a long time: many theatres don’t have their own theatres or have old theatres located in obscure corners of the city.

The Vietnam Drama Theatre, the Central Light Music Theatre, the Central Cai Luong Theatre, the Vietnam Music-Dance-Drama Theatre, and the Central Puppetry Theatre currently don’t have their own theatres or their theatres are located in areas which even Hanoians need a map or Google Earth to find.

Managers of these theatres say that their artists don’t have a good place to perform and thus their theatres cannot develop.

Meanwhile, theatres that have their own stages located on good sites also complain, but for a different reason: their theatres have a favourable position but they don’t know how to use them effectively.

The Hong Ha Theatre of the Central Tuong Theatre, Chuong Vang Theatre of the Hanoi Cai Luong Theatre, and Kim Ma Theatre of the Vietnam Cheo Theatre are such cases, as they are not open every night for performance.
