Asian singing contest premiers in Vietnam

VietNamNet Bridge - Asia Sounds has recently launched Sutasi, a search for unsigned talents in Asia, Vietnam.

Next year’s Sutasi will take place in 3 regions: Southeast, East and South Asia. In each region, there will be three contests including Best Voice, Best Musician as well as the Grand Final.

Twelve candidates will compete in the regional Grand Finals in February, April and August in Southeast, East and South Asia, respectively. The Asia-wide Grand Final will be held in October 2008.

The candidates will be judged by a jury panel made up of music experts as well as audiences across the continent. Finalists and highest title winners will receive awards worth over one million dollars each.

The Southeast Asian leg’s application deadline is November 1, 2007. The qualifying round will start on November 17 and results will be announced on December 5.
