17th ‘Charming Vietnam’ to entertain Hanoians

Vietnam’s 17th popular music and fashion show named ‘Duyen Dang Vietnam’ (Charming Vietnam) will be held in Hanoi on January 27 at the National Conference Centre.

At the press conference in Hanoi, the programme’s director Huynh Phuc Dien said that the 17th Charming Vietnam will bear the theme of the sun. Therefore, he said that performances in the show more or less have the feature of the sun, such as ‘Xin Mat Troi Ngu Yen’ (Please Sleep Peacefully the Sun) by singer Quang Dung; ‘Toi Di Giua Hoang Hon’ (I Go Amidst the Sunset) by singer Elvis Phuong; ‘Mat Troi Ben Kia’ (The Sun of the Other Side) by singer Kasim Hoang Vu; ‘Mat Troi Ngay Moi’ (Sunlight in New Day) by the group Fine Lines and ‘Mat Troi Trong Tim Toi’ (The Sun in My Heart) by group AC&M.

The show will have the participation of many singers from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City namely as My Linh, Phuong Thanh, My Tam, Dam Vinh Hung, Quang Dung, Kasim Hoang Vu, sisters Minh Anh-Minh Anh, Nguyen Thao, Ha Anh Tuan, Phuong Linh and overseas singers Tuan Ngoc, Elvis Phuong, Duc Huy, Thai Chau, twin sisters Truc Lam and Truc Linh and two grous AC&M and Five Lines.

About 30 beautiful queens and models will take part in fashion shows by designer Le Minh Khoa and Sifa fashion company.

The programme will be broadcast live on the Vietnam Television’s channel 3 (VTV3), starting at 8pm.

‘Charming Vietnam’ organised by Thanh Nien newspaper, is to raise money for Nguyen Thai Binh Scholarship Fund, for poor outstanding students.
