Hanoi welcomes APEC with various activities

VietNamNet Bridge - A series of cultural activities will take place in Hanoi in November to herald the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting.

A festival under the theme of "Ha Noi welcoming APEC-Vietnam 2006" will be held at Ly Thai To Garden and around Hoan Kiem Lake in the city's centre on the night of November 5.|

The event, to include a music gala with the participation of well-known Vietnamese and foreign singers, will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television's channel No. 3.

Another music gala night called "The Bridge of Friendship" will follow at the Vietnam Arts-Culture Exhibition Centre at Hoa Lu street.

To welcome APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, an exhibition highlighting APEC member economies and Vietnamese cultural heritages will be held at the Vietnam Arts-Culture Exhibition Centre between November 14 and 24.

There will also be an international trade fair at the Vietnam Fair and Exhibition Centre in Ha Noi's Giang Vo street from November 6-11.
