VietNamNet Bridge – Right after returning home yesterday, Miss Vietnam Mai Phuong Thuy announced a plan to visit the central region to help Xangsane victims.

Thuy said she and fashion designer Viet Hung, her fellow-traveler during the Miss World pageant, would go to the region either tonight, October 5, or tomorrow morning.

“I am really sad for the pain of Xangsane victims. I will do my best to help them,” Thuy said.

Shortly after returning to Vietnam, Thuy met with local press and said thanks to them and Vietnamese people, who fervently supported her during the Miss World competition.
