VietNamNet Bridge -  Photographer, Colonel Tran Hong is opening his photo exhibition “General Vo Nguyen Giap in Different Occasions I Met” to mark the General’s 95th birthday.

The exhibition, which is organised by the Quang Binh province People’s Committee, shows 95 large photos by journalist of the People’s Army newspaper Tran Hong. Most of the photos are made public for the first time. These photos have been taken by the photographer during different meetings with the General.

Many of the photos feature the portrait and activities of the General during the 40th and 50th anniversaries of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; 60th anniversary of the National Day and his stay in Viet Bac (the Northernmost) Military Base.

The exhibition opens at 3pm from August 21 to September 10 at Dong Hoi town’s Cultural Centre, Quang Binh province, the General’s homeland.

Colonel Tran Hong will present all the photos to Quang Binh after the conclusion of the exhibition.
