Water puppetry in Vietnam Culture Days in Poland

The Thang Long Cultural House, under the Centre for National Cultural Preservation and Promotion invited artist Phan Thanh Liem to give his performances during the Vietnam Culture Day in Warsaw, Poland.

 

The stage was set up in a large and beautiful house. On the first performance night, audiences were mainly Vietnamese. On the second performance nights, the Thang Long Cultural House’s director Bui Anh Thai invited various Polish guests, including the director of Asia-Pacific museum, cultural activists and others.

 

Polish audience highly appreciated Vietnam’s water puppetry. Artist Phan Thanh Liem gave combined items, including cuisin, martial arts and the national symphony, etc.  Though, it was hot, thousands of Polishs came to enjoy the programme, especially the water puppetry.

 

The head-master of Warsaw  high school invited artist Phan Thanh Liem to give performance for her pupils on October 11.

 

Vietnam Culture Days was first held there, bringing about a typical and attractive art programme of Vietnam, including cuisin, an ao dai (long dress) fashion show and Vietnam’s daily images.

 

After his successful performances in Rome, Italy in June, artist Phan Thanh Liem made another successful tour in Poland. This is the first time the water puppetry art has been performed in Poland on the occasion of the Vietnam Culture Days, making for a unique and attractive event.
