Lana Biggs.

The singer, Lana Biggs, will perform at the Sheraton Saigon Hotel from 8pm, Monday to Saturday for 6 months.

Born in the UK, and growing up in Canada, Biggs became a professional singer performing with Mississauga Swing band in Mississauga, and Kerr Street Big band in Oakville. She developed her talent with the assistance of husband, producer Bobby Simpson, accompanying many singers in recordings at her studio in Toronto, Canada.

Her performances with Mississauga Swing twice brought Biggs awards for ‘best voice’, in 2002 in Burlington, Canada, and in 2003 in Hamilton, Canada.

Biggs voice is reminiscent of singers such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgeald and Peggy Lee. Biggs said she is delighted to come to Vietnam, saying, “I can feel your various cultures through the musical instruments and melodies”.
